Newquay Harbour is tidal and very much a working location for fishing and pleasure boats, it provides a safe location for bathing and enjoying the sights of fishermen going about their every day business. It is also the centre for the R.N.L.I. lifeboat station which stages manoeuvres every Sunday morning, and is where the local Gig rowers launch their boats from. During the summer months they are out practicing most days and there are frequent competitions arranged.

This webcam was installed during August 2005 and has had 117333 visitors so far. It was upgraded by LiveSurfCams to a live video feed on 9 November 2007.
